The ultimate scaling of the Cray XK6 and Cray XE6 systems are designed to help solve both Grand-Challenge scientific problems, but also to provide general purpose HPC environments with a Linux-based operating system and powerful tools to enhance performance and usability.

The Cray XMT is specifically designed to solve single most challenging database problems of today, that of the large analyzing large, unstructured datasets.
